Service 320D
Hi, i am wondering if you guys can help me. My E90 320D SE on a 08 plate is due for a service soon ( i.e 4 years old in march) bought it about 7 months ago. Its done 33K miles. Looking at the logbook the first service done at 17K miles @ 2 years had micro filter changed along with the usual break fluid change etc.
Since the car is going to be 4 years old, other than the oil filter getting changed and new oil and brake fluid getting changed...does any one know if spark plugs or air filter (is that a micro filter or is that something else???)...needs to be changed @ 4 years...i had a look but couldnt find anywhere that tells me. Since the car is still got an extended warrenty i need to get it serviced by bmw so dont want to go there with a open cheque book if things dont really need done. thanks |

To be honest this is a question you'd need to ask your service department. They should be able to tell you exactly what needs doing by reading your key.
Servicing on BMW's is conditional based (i.e. it is influenced by how it is driven). For a start I can tell you that you won't need spark plugs (Diesel's don't have). As an example, my first service done a couple of months ago had a microfilter, oil/oil filter change and brake fluid change (this was all at 9,500 miles). In comparison, your first service was nearly 7,500 miles later and didn't need an oil change. |

if car has extended warranty then it will need service at BMW its a clause in the T&C.
Just pop down they will plug the key and read and can give you a print out when and what needs doing
