I was just checking, $150k gets you a 2011 Turbo S. Or an incredible $250k gets you the brand new GT2 RS. Either one will smoke the Gallardo. Especially an old one, which will run you as much as a nearly brand new Turbo S.

If you've got the money, why not? You only live once and if it's something you want get it. I was fortunate to own one for a little over a year and it was/is a great car! It gave me no problems and let's just say that while I did not abuse it, I did not hesitate to get my share of enjoyment out of it.

Everyone on here has their opinions about cars and that's cool. That's why they make different cars. I respect all kinds of different makes and models of cars but feel a Lamborghini is at or near the top of the car food chain. Park it next to virtually any other car and it will get more of the attention. You'll just have to get used to it. I did and enjoyed the conversations the car started and talking to people about the car. There is a lot of misinformation floating around about this car, so go to a Lambo forum and do some reaserch. I think you'll find that overall they are very reliable and not as expensive to maintain as you may think--especially if you find a pampered example. Yes, the parts are more expensive. But if you are even somewhat mechanically inclined you can do a lot of the maintenance on the car yourself. Good Luck in your search and let us know what happens. I'll definitely be getting another Bull in my garage in due time.

Here are some pics of my last Lambo for some inspiration. Have fun!

Anyone that says they did not like a Gallardo must never have drove one. I have had the pleasure of driving both cars. As much as I love the M6. The Gallardo is so much more raw and in your face.

Both cars have V10 but the one in Gallardo screams the way a V 10 should giving you goose bumps while the M6 is more muted due to being a sport luxury GT car.

The one I drove was a 2007 Spyder version and it seems like the engine is connected to your ears.

Besides that I thought the sequential manual was not as smooth as the one in the M6. However, the raw feeling of it suits the overall image of the car. The steering also is weight much more heavier and stiffer. But once again suits the cars personality. If I could sum up the driving experience it was fantastic and raw as close to driving a super sport class motorcycle without being on 2 wheels.

Gallardo gives you a raw unfiltered experience the way it should be in a Lambo. Only thing is that the 07 model does not have the cooler LED headlights that came out later.

I say if you can afford it go for it.

Not to offend the Porsche fans but I would not pick Porsche over Lambo. It might be faster but it still looks like a glorified VW beetle

Couldn't find one! I ended up with a Grigio Proteus over yellow/black. Clear bonet, active exhaust system, carbon package(int), low mileage super clean car. I didn't go with an Lp so I had some room left with another car. I plan to upgrade to an Lp in 2 years tho in white for sure!

Do a comparison of the M3 and Gallardo, I'd be interested in some sort of review. Congrats again!

They're delivering the car this week and taking the M6 back down to Florida on the same truck
