Tint referrals in Denver?
Hi guys, I was wondering if you had any recommendations on someone who can do a nice tint job in the denver/centennial/highlands ranch area. Thanks!

Tintcrafters in Centennial off of Jordan Road and Arapahoe. They have done 4 of my cars with tint and clear bra and they do a great job.

I had IDS done my tint via Ralph Schomp. They did a real good job. Prior to that, I had all my tints done by the guys at Alta Mere (close to the corner of County Line and Holly). That's where I also had my full front clear bra done as well. http://www.altamere.com/locations/
You will get that wear/rub line right through the drivers window. I wonder if Schomp can fix that. |

We have a great shop that does all our tint and clear bra work. They do all kinds of high end cars and exotics regularly. I've seen everything from 360s to 430s and even LP640s in the shop. PM me for more info.

Thanks for the responses guys. IDS is literally a 5-10 minute drive. I'm super close, and I coach tennis at Northridge Rec center. That's about half a mile further south from IDS on broadway. The wendy's across the street is the one I always go to.

Welcome to E90post, JYehO, and congrats on the car.
If you go to IDS, make sure that they know to either felt the inner window sweeps or remove them entirely, or your tint will look like a rabid animal got to it, like mine does. I still need to take mine back to them one of these days so they can fix that.

That depends if he is sedan or coupe, coupes don't have that window sweep problem.

I had my 335i Sedan tinted at IDS last year. They removed the top part of the sweeps but left the bottom portion. The top sweeps cause the scratching apparently. Adds an extra cost per window - can't remember how much. Worth it though - no scratches or leaks. IDS did a great job - nice guys too. Good luck.

Plus they will probably have some Ferrari/Maserati eye candy in the back for you to look at while they are doing your tint.

That's the first time that I've heard it's the top sweep that's causing the scratching. Are you sure it wasn't the inner sweep that's trapping dirt and scratching the tint? The inner sweep doesn't have any felt on it, but the top sweep at least has a very thin layer. If IDS removed your outer sweep, I may have to reassess how I go about getting this issue fixed. Can anyone else with an E90 confirm this?

Give IDS a call and they can explain it better. My recollection from a year ago was that there is a "U" shaped piece inside the door. They only remove the top portion of the U-shaped sweep, which is not visible above the edge of the door trim. But don't take my word for it, call IDS.
All I really know is that they did a good job and my tint is scratch free after a year+.

So far so good. You're more than welcome to see it if you'd like. You're not too far from my work place. As far as the percentage, I don't remember. I got whatever David (Dackz) has. I believe I got the lowest legal percentage.
