Custom order delivery times
In reading around about various people's custom orders it seems there is a trend towards long delays when the model is brand spanking new. ie: the f30 seemed to be taking 3 months for delivery last year.
I just ordered a 335i coupe. Since they changed it in for MY2011 its been in its current iteration for quite some time now. Simple question... Is there anyone out there who has ordered a 335i coupe in recent months and can does the community have any idea on the delivery timeline these days? Is it improved or still as long? Thanks for you insights. |

I ordered a 335is on Sept 10 and it arrived the port of New Jersey on Oct 25. Unfortunately, its been held up due to Sandy. I'm hoping its not floating in the Hudson.

oh man i never thought of that! that sucks! hope it comes soon. That seems like a respectable delivery time though....about 6 weeks. How long did it take for your car to go from "processing order" to "in production?" If you don't mind me asking.

if anyone is reading this my online still says "processing order." However, talked to dealer today and my car is actually in the paint shop, or status 152. So BMWUSA.com is several days behind.
