Finally, I have confidence to update my V3 to V4 with newer maps, nice job Shiv ^^
By the way, all the maps are stated as 6AT, would it be sitable for DCT - 7AT? Last edited by Renus; 02-12-2010 at 02:15 PM.. |

Well, looks like I'm the first to post about a long trip. Just made the drive from the Bay Area to LA today, testing out the new economy cruise.
On v3, I would get 25mpg (prob cuz of my mods). Today, I got.....25mpg, lol! Regular driving, nothing aggressive. Shiv already explained before that the optimum cruise is like ~55-65mph? But nobody heads down to LA at those speeds. I was setting cruise at 85mph, so that's prob the reason. Because of traffic, cruise was on maybe 2/3 of the time. However, I did see a noticeable improvement after I dropped the cruise down to 75mph. All of a sudden, I was seeing my miles left to service (mls) go up like crazy. So I'm guessing to realize the best economy cruise, you need to go slower Will get a chance to test again when I head back up, but uh...I prob will be going 85mph again, lol.

Yeah, hopefully soon Shiv will work his mojo on the wastegate (hold it open), add timing, pull back fuel, and/or whatever else so I can make it from the Bay area to LA w/o having to make a pit stop. I drive at the average speed on the 5, so prolly won't see any gas mileage improvements w/this iteration of the tune. |

Nick,
I've read through that post. Im confused a bit about the way V4 works with the kit though. I hooked my kit up yesterday but i ran the green wire not the blue wire because i thought that v4 hasn't yet incorperated progressive meth map switching. i believe thats what the blue wire is for and that shiv has stated that. I don't know and was hoping someone on here did. Also for 2-10 maps shiv was saying that future value 1 wasn't working either. isn't this what is required to activate the meth injection? I will switch the wires tomorrow and see if this changes the outcome. right now its not working at all so it can't hurt. psu139 |

I run the v4 2-10 with O2 at 80% with no CEL light but when from time to time I scan for errors the 10740-10741 codes come all the time after erasing them and do some km driving... should i try lowering it like oldtimes...?
Whats the logic with the new O2 logic and how come I don't get a CEL even if I have the same errors as with v3...? Did you turned the cel light off for these codes...? |

question, on 6AT cars once car reach to over 6500 rpm boost goes all way down to 9psi.
shouldnt be better to shift manuel on around 6000rpm for more boost because once you change it car gonna peak rightaway from 15psi. other then are we wasting time to wait and shift byitself with low boost?

The two wires that I initially ran up to the front were the solenoid wire (obviously) and the 0-5v progressive meth wire. The reason being that for now I am just running stage 3+ with 100% ign correction all the time and the pump just activates and deactivates just like any other would (6psi min, 12psi max). I have the progressive wire already up there for when that becomes an option but for now Im not running any type of mapswitching. |
