scuff removal

i searched and could not find anything on this exact question. here goes... i just washed my car and noticed two 4 inch long grey scuff marks near my passenger door handle. my car is grey so it is not very noticeable. they seem to be over the clear not scratched into it. i think it is from the rubber on the top of crutches because my friend broke his leg and i have been driving his hobbling ass around. what should i use to remove? would clay work? maybe qd? they were not removable with a wash mitt and soap. any help would be greatly appreciated

If you're right that it's rubber transfer to the paint, clay will take it right off. There might be micromarring underneath that requires polish.

If it's not too bad, I'll use Zymol HD cleanse on MF towel (luso oro revitalizing creme works just as good and cheaper). if that fails then polishing w/ machine is your next option.

Oh yea, like the other poster said, claybar. I just never have excellent result for scuff marks w/ claybar.
