you have to admit it would be pretty funny if this thread instantly turned into more manual vs auto debate
There is no debate, all the real world tests have proven the 335i AT pulls ahead.

Guys blow up as many turbos as you want...My local BMW dealer offered me 2k for my e36M3 that has over 15k in mods when I went to trade it in....

The dealers screw enough poeple on fixing unwarentied cars also,so keep that in mind.

I think they quated me 860 dollars to change my batt. They said they need to diagnose the problem(I told them its a 8 year old batt)then they need to make sure the alternator is working, then make sure its not something draining that batt....I must of used every swear in the book and took my car to a local nappa store and paid 80 bucks and changed the batt in the parking lot.

Screw the damn dealers if you ask me

thats fine and all, but you arent getting back at the dealers. You are screwing BMW, the company itself, which results in more scrutinization on everyones warranty claims, and higher "costs" for us all.

what about when BMW denied everyones claims when the s54 was blowing up?

theres a guy that just won a battle in court with a blown s54 in the Mcoupe that was not under the same warenty as the M3s were.It took him 6 months of battling and a lawyer to get BMW to cover the claim.Even tho its the same exact engine they blamed him on an over rev with less than 10k miles on his car

BMW dosnt give a crap about us even if the car IS under warenty. When my car had a tranny problem in the cold they kept on telling me its normal and when the warenty was up they told me I need a new tranny...go figure

BMW makes enough money guys, trust me they will sell way more 335's now that they have the huge gains from the aftermarket comunity.

I have never seen a dealership let their morals help me out whenever I went in for service, instead they try to deny things under warranty so they can make more $$/hour with a higher labor rate.
Exactly everytime something stupid happens they tell me it's normal or something completly different messed it up and now isn't covered. Like the time I had problems with the CD drive in my 545i they told me it made a clicking sound and didn't read disc because I had added an aftermarket subwoofer in the trunk. Tell me how that makes sense they aren't even directly connected. So I don't have any so called "Moral" issues about the procede in my car.BTW they did eventually fix the problem but after I had to authorize labor for them to "dig deeper" and discover the obviuos (sub had nothing to with the CD drive problems) and they fixed it under warranty.
