Well my 2009 335 has around 66,000 miles which the previous owner put on mostly highway to work I assume. I plan to keep it another 10 years with 10,000 miles a year. Will it last. The previous owner did the hpfp and I did the vanos.

Thanks

Also the original owner did the 15,000 mile oil changes. I have changed that to every 6-7k.

How can anyone really answer this question? Modern cars can do 200k with proper maintenance pretty easily but that all depends on your pocketbook and driving style. I plan on putting 150k+ on my car and I keep a 5k minimum in an emergency car funds account even with my CPO active for the next 50k. (still under factory now) I fully expect to have $$$ repairs after 100k...I may not have them but I plan for it financially. At 46.4k now and do 35k a year for work.

Ok thanks. I never heard anything about BMW reliability. I always here about Audi. My A6 went to 110k with no problems.

Any more comments

I hope my car last to 150000+. I am at 39000 now. I think it will last that long but at the rate that this car commonly breaks down I will probably spend enough money to buy a second car. I love my car but reliability sucks.

The 09s seem to have worked out a lot of the injectors and vanish problems.

As long as you maintain it properly you should be able to hit that no problem. My goal is to keep my car for at least 5 more years. I'll probably review the situation and see if it's worth keeping or upgrading.

If you keep it long enough don't forget to set up a College Fund for it.

Had my 09 since I got it new. As long as you maintain it, it can last over 100k miles easy. I have 77k on mine. Still running great.

Make sure you have the intakes cleaned around 60k, and only run too tier fuel.
