This thread makes me scared to drive my car anywhere now. I guess I'll just be a good citizen and try not to piss anyone off. Lol

Got my 2 rear passenger windows broken in my parking lot overnight. This was just weeks from buying the car and tinting the windows too... Good thing is that i found both of them used on ebay already tinted which saved me some bucks.

In my younger years I had a 99 Eclipse that got vandalized a few times. I also had a much hotter head back then as well, so the revenge usually was a bit over the top.
Eclipse got kechup'ed (my car was white) one night outside of the house of a girl I was dating by some little mean mug who had a crush on her. Me and a few friends went to his house, drug his car into the middle if the street, jacked up the car, removed the wheels and set the car back on the ground with the tires placed on the hood and roof. Lug nuts went into the river. On another occasion my Eclipse got the front drivers window broken while sitting outside my place of employment. Found out who did it and threw a cinderblock through the front window of their trailer park home. As far as my BMW, it was accosted by a pigeon. Parked in a parking garage and as I was unlocking my car the pigeon was sitting on the roof, staring at me and then preceded to poop. Little jerk.

Door dents
Some assholes always dent my car at work, and also small key marks on the passenger side which i usually don't see when i am the only one to drive.
Also someone tried to steal my Alpina wheels, but didn't know how to remove them Last edited by kaputme; 08-24-2015 at 07:00 AM.. |

Pretty minor compared to some of the destruction here, but I got the first door ding on my M235i in the parking garage of the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart from a white Toyota Corolla(!).

I used to live off campus across the university so I've had my fair share of issues.
1) On my previous E46, two days after I took ownership, someone smashed the drivers side front window and made off with $2 in change. Way to go hero. 2) Also on the E46, someone thought it would be hilarious to key the trunk. Fixed it up as much as I could within reason and left it as it was. 3) I had my E46 egged on a random Thursday night. Didn't find out until I went downstairs for classes next day. Got the car washed early in the morning AND got late to my classes. 4) On my current E90, drunk guy scratched passenger side door while walking along. Thankfully I saw him from my window and yelled hard which made him run off. Still have that scratch today. Heaven knows what he used to make it. 5) Also on my E90, someone for god knows what reason decided they don't like my license plate (I have a vanity plate) and tried to tear it out by bending it and pulling it off of the car. Thankfully, they either came to their senses or decided it wasn't worth the effort but they left with the plate stuck in an awkward L shape angle. Easy enough to fix but annoying as hell? You bet. It's such a relief that I've moved to the suburbs into a home so my car is now considerably safer, but I hated living near my university which was sadly in the downtown core of my city. |

I own a BMW 335i E90 and live in the Bay Area (California). My car was parked in the school parking lot and someone dented my drivers door. This happened in March and I am 16 and got the car in January when I got my license, I got my license one week after I turned 16. How do I upload a picture lol I'm on my iPhone and new to e90post

When I had my last car, a jealous ex-girlfriend decided to spray paint my car. But apparently using a spray paint can was a foreign concept to her, so when she allegedly couldn't get the paint to come out of the can, she used the can itself as a hammer and smashed my hood, quarter panels and roof.. left a nice scratch on the door, and slashed all 4 tires. A neighbor was on his balcony drinking beer and watched the whole thing -- didn't feel it was necessary to ring my doorbell and tell me that any of this was happening. I walked outside 3 hours later and he said, "Man, who did you piss off?" "Two chicks went to town on your car!!" At that point I pretty much knew who the culprit was.. No proof, though. I didn't even bother getting it fixed. Just moved to a new place and bought a 335i.
Thanks neighbor.

Paint chips and a ding or two. Most likely not haters but assholes. See there are people outside of BMW that are assholes. Unless the person owns a BMW and it's nicer than what they have and they did it.

Had my driver door keyed 10 inches parked on campus or the supermarket, not sure. Either drunk frat boy or homeless guy I didn't have money for. Also, when lifted trucks cut you off on the road, because you maintain a 2 car distance, which is everyday. I want to just choke out every truck driver that doesn't have mud guards. Had 3 separate door dents when I lived in California last year, all random self entitled pricks with no respect for other people's property. I do park correctly as well.
Someone threw an egg on my hood a few months after I bought the car, Florida sun baked it on, but I was able to remove it. A dude keyed my passenger rear quarter panel when I had to park near their shop since my previous employer had shitty employee parking locations. I really hate people who have a lack of respect for other people's property.

Had a mtechI front duct cover taken off on my E46 so now I drive with the other one off to match. I also drove through a street where kids were egging passing by cars. They got my sunroof and windshield with 2 eggs. Thankfully it was night so FL sun didn't bake it. I stopped, hopped the wall and chased them but they scattered. Ended up destroying the remaining eggs they had (about 4 Sams Club size 48 egg cases).
No damage to the e92 yet (knock on wood). I park it far as possible and avoid shady places. My friends Audi S5 got keyed from front fender to rear quarter panel a week after he bought it. |

Damn, some of these stories are pretty brutal, people are total assholes...
Except the guy that smashed my car in my parkade a few months ago. I came down and saw a note on my windshield, something to the effect of 'I did some small damage to your car when I was maneuvering in the parkade, call me when you see this'. Look down and there is a MASSIVE dent about 6" wide and oval shaped on my front quarter panel. WTF??? The guy left his phone number and when I called him was genuinely sorry, he paid for a brand new quarter panel and paint - about $1200. I was pissed at the time but now I think back and am glad he was a good person and it ended up being a positive experience. |
