NYC Autoshow: MB SL "65 black series"

Hey,
How many of you guys went to the auto show? Was I the only one to notice that the second you walk in you see a ~2001-2003 Mercedes SL 500 dressed up to look like a new SL 65 black series?? It got me so mad... everyone and their mother was taking pictures of this car... it had the full sl 65 body kit BUT i don't think it had the hood (i'm not 100% sure though), also it had those shit brakes that those old SL500's had (fixed 4 pot front calipers and the same rear calipers as our cars), also another way to tell it was a 7-9 year old car was the interior (the windows weren't tinted so you could see the old tiny navigation screen), also you can tell the roof was a convertible roof (and the black series has a fixed roof)

All in all... i think it's pretty cheesy that the "world famous" NYC autoshow has a wanabe poser SL 65 black series with ropes around it the second you walk into the entrance..

yea i did too until i looked at the brakes and started examining everything else.. how embarassing for the nyc autoshow to have that poser car there.. post the pic if you have it..

does it say it is supposed to be the black series? the entrance is mainly tuner companies and stuff, so you see some weird cars there.

yeah i saw that heap o shit. what a waste of time and money..with all that work he coulda paid for a real SL65.
