HPF Inter-cooler Before and After IAT
This is a before and after HPF inter-cooler install(factory IC connection). The WOTs were on different days but I waited till it was 77 deg F outside for consistency. I did pulls with DTC off, 93 OCT gas, and in DS mode without using paddles(autoshift).
Controls: 77 deg and info taken during the 5th WOT with around 2 min cool downs in between. Auto tuned to Target PSI 12.5 on both runs. Runs done on same road and grade. I did not break boost and all 0-60 and 0-80 time is from the factory inaccurate speedo not a V-box. Mods: JB4 map 5 (autotune) BMS intake and now the HPF Inter-cooler Before HPF- Max IAT during WOT was 131 F----- Average of 5 WOTs 0-60MPH in 5.4 sec--0-80 in 8.242 After HPF Max IAT during WOT 114 F-------- Average of 5 WOTs0-60MPH in 4.92 sec--0-80MPH in 7.87 Other info: My IATs were a lot more consistent after the HPF. Dropped IATs 17 F at its hottest point. Seem to also drop my oil temps about 7 Deg F at its hottest point. Last edited by 335i 07; 05-28-2011 at 12:58 AM.. |

Yes it is, but now that the auto tuning map 5 has adapted she seems much faster now. I didn't realize that the the auto tuning requires 4th and 5th gear WOTs to tune at first. Plus the 0-60mph was done by recording the speedo and trimming it at home. Not very accurate way of doing it, just a benchmark. Just got a V-box so I will repost the numbers soon.
