does the NCSEXPER.EXE file work on windows 7 64 bit, because i am having a compatiblitiy problem, stating the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows that i am running.
I was able to run INPA and do an airbag test to test if the communication to my car was working properly, but that's the fartest i got in the DIY I NEED hellp |

AW128i, the module value that worked for DDUB is VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL. Be sure to read the additional information in column J. It provides a description of the function and notes on how to do it.

I don't have iDrive on my car. I'll let you know later today if it works on non-iDrive cars.

I did see that notation about the U.S. cars, but I wasn't clear if that was the only change needed. Thanks for the clarification. Once my cable arrives (hopefully this week), I'll be sure to scan my car to see if this code exists in the 1-series (or, at least MY 1-series). I assume you still need to go in and delete the high beam DRL since that's how the car is setup from the factory?

DRL must be enabled for this to work. enable DRL --->TAGFAHRLICHT_ECE_1 from nicht_aktiv to aktiv After you enable DRL, the high beams should be on as DRL. Then all you have to do is change the lights you want as DRL VERHALTEN_DRL_TFL from drl_tfl_off to drl_s If someone wanted DRL to run as high beams, set drl_s to drl_h. Mine was drl_h by default. I guess to prove my theory, I can disable DRL in iDrive and enable it and AE as DRL via coding. I'm not going to bother though I'd rather look at the NFRM trace of someone who has no DRL or DRL set to high beams and play with it there.

AW128i, you're not really deleting anything. My guess is when you make the code change, you're simply telling the car to use the rings as DRL instead of using the high beams. You just need to make sure DRL are turned on.

when i read ecu, and it saves my stuff, it saves as an 8kb file, without all the BC_Digital and the ZZ stuff, its supposed to be like 200+ kb, how come mine is saving as such a low number? and lacking all the other stuff.
and this is saving as THE FSW_PSW.TRC

I have a build date of 04/07. That sucks if the options are not there.

I have a 07 e28xi e90 with a production date of 11/2006.
Don't have iDrive and dont have NFRM in the subfolder. Checked the FRM codes and didn't find the lines specified above. Sucks but at least my home made angel eye harness is doing the trick. Great find guys. |
