E92-M 320d 177hp vs Audi A4 Cabrio 1.8T

I drive an E92 le mans blue. I was going home last night, and i find one in my way, speeds were quite normal at that time, so i decided to pass him just for the fun of it.

When i was passing him the guy started to push the car and gave me a really hard time. The overtake speed was about 170-180km.

These two cars seem to be very close performance wise.
In the uphill the bmw was the king though.....

Am concidering upgrading to evolve after this.....

i have checked the weight rations.

Mine is 177hp/1504 = 117hp for 1000kg
Audi is 163hp/1540 = 105hp for 1000kg

Not much of a difference there....

You should have edged away. I noticed that the 320d is more powerful an quicker than audi petrol 1.8turno. While ago, very inpressive

Remap it and you get closer to 160bhp per 1000kg.

Not much of a difference there....

The 1.8T is very chipable and could have been pushing over 200 BHP, I had a chipped A3 T Sport and not much under £40k could stay with it.

I changed from an A4 1.8T Avant (163bhp) to an e91 320d (163bhp). The BMW is faster at higher speeds. 1.8T runs out of puff.

I remember while driving the Audi that someone in a Laguna 2.2dCi caught me up then kept accelerating and slowing down. i got fed up and put my foot down. He went by.

Torque is king.

I would think the 320D should have definitely been quicker. Maybe you can't drive?
