eurocharged tune vs pwrbox? 328i

I've got a 2008 328i and im stuck...Not sure whether to go with a real tune (eurocharged) or the power box...

I have the AT so throttle response suckssss, powerbox would seem to work wonders for that (from the reviews i've read atleast)

The eurocharged tune just seems a lot more convienent/better.. I could get the hand held to where i can flash stock tune, or the modified tune on the go, or i could also get a Valet tune etc etc..

Now the tune would also higher red line, remove top speed limiter, and supposedly fix the throttle response lag <-----That is the main thing!!@!@!@ for me!

Anyways, the tune is a lot more money but what would you guys choose if it were you?

with the hand held how exactly does it work and how long does the process of them making you a tune take?

I'm having the tune installed on Monday in Houston. The owner of the shop says it'll take ~1.5 hr to install and do a before after dyno. Will post a review afterwards.

I will as soon as I get mine! It's in the mail, apparently. And yeah, they have lots of sizes ranging from less than a foot to 3 or 4 feet wide lol.

oh I need a sticker too! haha, but about the length of the tune upload, I was told it depends if they have your exact oem tune already on file, if so it only takes ten minutes, but if they had to copy your stock file then upload the new one it takes about an hour and a half, which was the case for me.

I just wish Eurocharged was closer to me! I know I could just get their programmer but that's not exactly the same.

I don't understand. Why isn't it the same? Are you looking for a custom dyno tune to your mods?

I have never thought that tunes that are just like hey you have this engine and this is what you get are the absolute option.

Reason being is that I had three friends that had the same car as me. An evo IX, my car took more timing, more boost, and leaner AFR than the others. I would go out and tune back to back to. So yes I believe that tuning a car on a dyno would be the best. Each and every car and engine handles things differently.

True, but the N52 is very limited. I wouldn't worry. I've personally seen two 330's tuned by EC in the past month and the results are very much there

we go head to head with all the vendors all the time and AA is not an exception. We feel very confident that you will be EXTREMELY pleased with the software and even offer a money back guarentee.
