Symptoms are typical of a dead battery, period of the year too. The battery is not covered by CPO and is outrageously expensive.

You can get one yourself and change it DIY, but you'll need to have it "registered" with the computer, should cost $100-$150 extra, and it is necessary to have it done sooner than later.

Because it won't start , and not holding the charge . plug the jumping cable again and let it take charge for a good 5 min before u try To start it, and it won't hurt to slightly rev the other car

I had it plugged in for about 15 min and couldn't get it to start. What's the cost on the battery if I change it threw bmw?

If its not charging its the alternator. If you get it started and it stays running its the battery

Just fyi...There's an indicator on the top of the battery that tells you if the battery is good or bad.
