Pros and cons of each? On a non-ZSP E90, New York metropolitan area roads.
Thanks.

There are tons of threads on both set ups. Hit up 'Fraggy'; I think he's had both suspension set ups. Seems like the Eibach pro/fsd set up is more comfortable, but fsd's occasionally crash through their travel, especially with lowering springs. BMW PS should handle better at speed..

Do the Koni FSD's come with new, shorter bump stops? If not, that would explain why they crash through their travel more often. The performance suspension actually come with shorter bump stops. |

I don't think the FSD/Pro kit comes w/shorter bump stops. Contacting the bump stops doesn't seem to upset the FSD's unless it's a really sharp/hard impact. That's my experience anyway..
Comfort on bad roads seems to be the OP's priority. I'm sure the FSD's are more comfortable than BMW PS.

First of all, the FSD's were designed for stock OEM sport springs. The eibachs are shorter so you'll lose a bit of travel. Second, best comfort and handling is achieved through critical damping ratio. I'm sure BMW engineered their performance shocks alongside with the performance springs together to achieve this ratio. That's why the performance suspension setup is vehicle-specific (can't mix and match the ones from E90 with E92), whereas, the Koni/Eibach setup is generic. |
