Hey guys,
So, I have the wonder trifecta going on along with a strange noise in all gears in the range of 2000-3000k rpms. I've recently had the transmission swapped out since my 3rd gear was done and I also had the trifecta going on along with this noise, I figured replacing the transmission and TC would do the trick. Clearly, I was wrong, in the process of swapping the trans I replaced pretty much everything, pilot bearing, pivot pin, spring clip, throw-out bearing, fork, new fluid as well. The transmission shifts good and works as it should, however I have a noise that seems like it's coming from the shifter area. I got under the car and checked to see if there was something loose or if the exhaust was touching something and rattling. Everything seems good, the guibo is also good, would the driveshaft center support bearing cause rattling noises?? Also noticed that the noise is gets louder as the trans gets up to temp, when its cold it isn't so loud. car is a 2009 335xi, if there's any other info you need, or I may have missed please ask away. >>trans noise video<< Last edited by N54_Sauce; 01-12-2024 at 07:48 AM.. |

The noise itself sounds like it’s coming from near the shifter area. Maybe even from were the bell housing attaches to the block. If it was in fact the center support bearing, would I hear it all the way up there?
