BMautosport CSL Reps

I’m going to order some new wheels next week from BMautosport. I’m going for the CSL replicas (19”) but can’t decide if I should go for the usual ET35 on the rear or risk going for the ET27.

I know a few people went for these on a group buy a while ago.

Any experiences or thoughts on which way to go?

If your motors an lci facelift the et 27 won't fit the rear bud. Pre lci no bother and they look brilliant!! The lci's had the rear track widened by 12 mm I believe so they rub on et27. Hope this helps

I am keen to go with the ET27 for the more aggressive look, I'm just a bit wary as I regularly have the rear loaded up with people/stuff which obviously lowers the car further. The car is a 07 reg so hopefully there should be no problems I just want to make sure before I commit. Has anyone got any photos of the ET27s fitted to an E90 or E91?

There's plenty of guys got Et27's on e90/e91's with no issues. There was a few issues with this offset on the e92 but sounds like that was unfounded!
I went for et35's as Mark from bm autosport reckoned it was the best offset for e9xx's and my touring is usually full.

Either way you can go for Et27's fine

Cheers jabroni80, yours looks stunning. Was just hoping that somebody out there was running et27 and had done so with the car fully loaded. I spoke to mark and he said the et35 was fine but couldn't guarantee no rubbing with the et27 as he hadn't fitted them to an e91 before.

Cheers mate. I know there was a few guys on here who bought et27's on my group buy....have a look on the search panel.

I contacted a few guys from Germany and Norway before deciding what to buy and got some mixed advice. Have a search for 'e91 picture thread' and most guys will be more than happy to advise you what they're running on their tourers.

Honestly tho I was over the moon with Marks advice on et 35's and always have the option of fitting spacers.

Need to get pics posted up when you get them on

You raise a good point there, atleast with et35 there is the option to add spacers, once committed to et27 you are stuck with it.

I'll get the photos up as soon as I get them ordered and get them on but it will look very similar to yours just with darker tints!

It's not unfounded at all, I've tried running 225's which have an offset of ET39 with a 12mm spacer making the offset ET27 and the tyres rubbed,OK the car had rear seat passenger/s but the tyres (255/30/19) did rub.

The same happened with a 10mm spacer.

I would play safe and go with et35 on the rear. You could always fit a set of 5mm spacers that would bring it to et30. Plus you can still use the standard wheel bolts.

Is 5mm the limit for keeping the standard bolts, I would have thought you would have needed longer bolts regardless once you fitted a spacer.

I think the et35 option is certainly looking the favourite at the moment.

Yep you will be ok to use the standard bolts with 3mm or 5mm spacer. But certainly any wider than 5mm you will need longer bolts.

I fitted ET27 rears yesterday and even though the E91 has more room at the back the 275 30 tyres rub with a full load but only on bad dips in the road. I had an unladen car today and ragged it about and it didn't rub.

ET27 will be fine with 255's or 265's. My 275's are M+S rated and have a rim protector which probably makes the clearance worse.

I plan to lightly roll the arches cos we tend to have 3 kids in the back a lot and all their stuff!!

Cheers Chesney72, some pics would be fantastic.

Just went through the E91 gallery post looking at all the different wheels on everyones car and changed my mind about what I wanted a dozen times!

Have you checked out the old Group buy thread?

I am running et35's with 3mm spacers on the rear, i think that it looks near perfect. i posted a few pics of my car on there.

I'd go et35, and add spacers if not happy, et27 there is no going back

Better pic of car. ET20 front and ET27 rear. Car def feels different to drive with the wider track, I like it!
