my new wheel...

I need to see this next to gunmetal. Jet anthracite looks exactly like SGM right there, which I actually would not mind at all. It would complete the shadow look I'm going for.

im in the same situation as you buddy. Im trying to go for the vmr v701 and i think im going with black. i feel that gunmetal will be a little bit too "matchy" imo.

i have bmw performance rims right now and love the contrast, but i want something different now.

Why not the hyperblack? Aren't they somewhere between gunmetal and black or do the pics misrepresent the color?

Should be getting my CSL jet anth set in a couple days and will post pics Bavarian III. Hopefully help you in your decision. Wheels were purchased from Brandon @ EAS. Great guy to deal with and very helpful in my quest for the "perfect" wheel.

I agree with you, I actually had a brainwave and had my eyes opened to the Storm Gray finish that I had overlooked before. It looks beautiful with Sparkling Graphite (probably even a bit more matchy, but darker, and the hues also change to bluish-purple in different lighting conditions). I don't mind the color similarities too much though. There aren't too many cars on here that have that going on, and I wouldn't mind to be one of the few

But those 269's do look nice on it. V701's would be my choice right after the 710's, but probably not in black. If I was a JB guy, then of course I'd have to do it that way

This is what I've always believed. I never could get a real grasp of hyperblack from pictures. They look more like a deep, rich silver than anything, with more gloss than normal. That's why I didn't really like it too much, it just seemed too reflective. I actually prefer gloss/semi-gloss, but not the way hyperblack shows it.

Indeed I have been talking to him for a little while now, I'm pretty sure I have gotten on his nerves enough by now But as I said in my earlier post about storm gray, I have also begun to consider darker colors than gunmetal (which I think may actually be a bit too light in comparison to the sparkling graphite; as you can see, I don't want too much contrast ). And those darker colors happen to be JA and storm gray. After seeing a post Brandon made showcasing them, and visiting the storm gray showroom thread, they look very attractive. But please do let me see once you get them what color is your car?

Car is SGM...Can see in my albums. I too was looking for a more aggressive-looking type wheel and just fell in love with these. Currently have hyper-silver CSL and although looks great, kind of got tired of the look. So will be posting pics soon!

After looking at 600000 pictures I decided for the OEM CSL wheels.... still love them. Such a hard colour to match to the rims.

Had 159 on the car when I bought it.
Same SGM color as you have.

Was ready to buy CSL, almost bought V710.
But each time came back to 162.

Just installed them 2night, doesn't regret my choice.
Still thing that those 162 are one of the best looking OEM wheels BMW made for the E90.

Maybe next year, will go for those in 19", if my dentist can glue my fillings...

Gr,

Are those "real" CSLs or reps? (Thought the OEMs had the wrong offsets for the E92.)

Thanks

No reps on my car guys.... CSl's are the real deal....

ET's are not correct so have a small 12 mm spacer in the front with 225 and have 255 on the back....works without rubbing on the ET27 9,5*19 CSL

Just finished putting them in the second layer of wheel sealent so they can go back on the car next week

Greetings from the Netherlands
