Pin hole on tire
I loose about 10psi on my right rear tire week, Took it in to tire shop for dunk tank to have it patched and they said leak is to slow to tell where it is.
What do you guys think about a little bit of automotive slime, will it throw off balance of tire if I do?

Use it in my farm tractors and it work like a champ. If you read the directions, it clearly states that it will effect the balance at high speeds. I don't recommend this for autos, sorry...

It's probably not a puncture. If they removed the tire and put it back on the wheel, maybe the problem is solved by now. Sometimes tires develop a little leak off the rim of the wheel. Lubrication while putting the tire back usually solves this problem.

You didn't happen the scrape that wheel or hit a bad pot hole? It could be possible that you could have a cracked wheel or tire sensor. I can't believe a good tire center wouldn't be able to locate the leak.

+1. Should be able to just soap it and look for bubbles. My buddy had issues like that, it was flashing from the tire mold that was letting it seep out.
You can just pull the tire off, get some water with dish soap, and coat the tire. You should be able to see bubble forming somewhere. Another quick test is a wad of split on the end of the valve stem. If the valve is leaking, you'll get bubbles there. |

Ya I did basic stuff like just valve stem, Ill have to pull it off myself with dish water and see if I can locate the leak. They said they couldnt find it and that 10psi over 1 week is to little of a leak to see.
If not ill have different shop check and pull it off and make sure to "grease the bead" which they need to do anyways when pulling off tire.

Did you try tightening the valve stem? I once had a slow leak that turned out be the valve stem - with the valve stem cap in place it was a very slow leak, but when I unscrewed the cap it became immedaately obvious what the problem was.

I had a leak that was causing tire to lose less than 1 psi per day, probably 5 per week. The tire shop found and repaired it. My suggestion is go to another shop.

If there is a leak there, you will see it eventually with soap and water. Spray everything down and pay close attention for any noises/bubbles coming from your wheel and tire.

Unfortunately some shops miss things like this. For smaller items I try and solve the problems myself, but there are times where I don't have the right tools or knowledge to fix something, so I'll take my car to a shop.
