A vehicle can be used a weapon. This guy clearly has no regard for human life. This guy should have sneezed at this ticket given the price tag of this car. He probably think he's above the law and i'm certain that this incident will not change his perspective on life. Where's Bain when you need him?

This sums up the incident... sounds like it was the driver at fault if this is accurate.

The driver is an idiot for attempting to drive away while being cited.

Guys, it's even simpler than that. Once another person or any other living being finds itself in front of your car, you stop - unless of course your life is in danger which clearly wasn't the case here.

It's not ok to "push by" with your fender, you may be breaking the guy's leg if the things line up the wrong way, or perhaps you dislocate his knee cap.

So cop or not, once he is in front of your car, you simply cannot drive off.

I mean, would you do that if it were your son, wife, GF or mother sitting there?

I don't know where some people get their code of conduct, maybe they are actually 18 and never even faced a cop. Amazing.

A) If many of you folks read the YouTube comments, he was legally valeted.

B) Yes, the driver was a douche. Legal rights are written in paper and don't mean squat in the real world unless you're in court. Take your battle there. Five minutes of inconvenience ain't worth getting arrested over.

C) Yes, the cop was a douchette as well. You got the car info, so just finish writing the details and mail it. Terrible acting as well. No sympathy from me. You had no trouble getting him down but afterwards had to lean on the car for support? SMH...

D) Stephanie Pratt is average. Raise your standards, people...

lmao very true!

Here's the interesting, where he parked is actually part of the valet section of the hotel. So basicaly the ticket would have been deemed null since it's in legal grounds of the hotel. Now here's where it gets funny cuz the douchebag things he can just do whatever he wants cuz he owns a ferrari. Sorry sunshine, that simply isn't the case!. So both are in the wrong but man that kid is sooooo stupid

If you did some researching, you'll know from various websites that the car was being cited for improper registration, despite the youtube comment.

You can clearly see in the video that the cop asked him repeatedly to stop and the driver kept ignoring him. You just simply can't disobey an officer and if you do then the police officer may feel that his safety and others are in jeopardy specially when the other party is behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. It then ultimately gives him the right to use any force necessary to get the situation under control.

Everything else that happened afterwards - punching the window, smashing the door open, forcefully removing the driver & slamming him to the ground - will be seen as justified by the court and the officers supervisors.

No matter how minor or major a situation is you simply have to obey an officer.
THIS. The cop told him to stop, he should of stopped, that's it.

The Ferrari driver was an idiot. The total sum of the tickets that the cop was writing wouldn't even be close to the price a decent lawyer would charge to get rid of them for you. And it doesn't really matter because it's not a moving violation. Use daddy's credit card to pay them and go about your day... that would have been my advice. Kid probably pays more for a cup of coffee than those tickets would cost anyways.

Now, the cop obviously faked the degree to which he was hurt. And he did use excessive force after he placed his foot knowingly and with intent in the path of the wheel of the Ferrari. He should have stayed back. Not saying he didn't have the right to hold the kid there, but there are more elegant ways to go about it or simply write him up for running. What I saw in that video was a police officer that intentionally maximized the chances of starting a physical confrontation.

He should have just written down the plate number and the tickets and gone back to the office to complain about coming across a douche in a Ferrari.

What I saw was a guy run over a cop's foot, intentionally.
It's not a physical confrontation because there's no question who will 'win' -the cop is just daring him to make his day.
Cops don't have to go back to the office and complain, they can take it out on you.
Basically cops expect you to recognize. I didn't know so many people have a problem with authority.

Cops should be acting like role models, not like a bunch of thugs.
To be honest, the way the cop acted I don't feel so bad that his foot ran over.

If the driver started up his car and was about to leave, the cop should have just backed off. The cop has his plates already on file, could easily look up his home address and have him arrested/fined. Or if the driver doesn't pay then the licence will not be renewed. Why make your job complicated more than it already is? Clearly cops in NY don't have much things to do other than giving parking tickets. For once, fight some real crime.

Excessive force, to the car and the guy will surely look bad on that cop's career.

Not saying that the guy driving the Ferrari was right, but the situation could have been handled better. Both parties looking like fools and acting like children. What will punching the window of a car do, as we saw NOTHING.

+1

It looked like a self entitled prick trying to act like a baus in front of people watching on the street. The cop put himself in the way of the car to stop the kid from driving away. The kid knew the cop was there up against the front of his car. He pushed the cop around and got pushed back.

If the kid didnt act like such a prick their wouldn't have been a problem in the first place.
