Looks like great fun. Looks like he's ready to graduate to a parking lot with a bit more room to cruise. Definitely take him out to some races though. They're awesome to see in person. I wish the Northwest had more racing series around so I would have had a chance to see them.

I'd go back to the dealership. The left mirror almost hung loose. Bad quality. Warranty?

Great!

LOL!! When the video first started, I thought you took your 16yrs old son to an real autocross event.. I was like "hmm this is going to be interesting".
then I saw the little kid I was like.. what in the world....?

great vid! cool dad too! the boy got some skills. Get him some aftermarket springs and rear sway bar for his car. He'll definitely reduce that lap time.

Thanks guys for all of the great comments. It was great fun doing it and to be honest, I was surprised at how much my son was into it! 5-yr-olds tend to have short attention spans, but he was eager to change up the course and go faster!

Thanks ADHD for the links to the karting sites as well. That's definitely on my agenda now. I'm hoping one day to restore an early model bimmer with him and maybe bring it on a track!

This stuff keeps you young!

Cheers!

No problem man thats good stuff to see your kid even intrested most kids shy away from stuff like that like u mentioned after 10min..
U can start your kid off at 5 years old at the local clubs its so cute to see 5 or 6 little guys racing they go like 30mph at the most and the pass each other and all its Great to watch!

dude, your son would enjoy that more if you add a Fujita intake, remove the speed limiter, and add an aftermarket exhaust

BTW, I hope you both have insurance cuz he comes very close to hitting your e90 front bummer.

Great way to spend time with your son. My 14 year old nephew is into cars and I occasionally take him to the parking lot of his father's medical clinic on Sundays and teach him to drive my 335.
