Would you park your new Bimmer in Hoboken?

Hi all,

We're taking a vacation to NYC this week and staying on the Jersey side. We're thinking of taking the train or ferry into NYC from Hoboken. Would you think it's safe to park a new Bimmer in the large lots in Hoboken by the waterfront? Or am I better off taking an old minivan (which wouldn't be nearly as much fun to drive)?

Thanks!

I think it's safe to park in Hoboken. Don't worry about it.

I'm there all the time. Just make sure you park in a lot and not on the street. Hoboken is safe, especially by the waterfront.

I agree with MyE92. it looks fine if you park by the waterfront where steven's is. I go up there to drink every now and then since my buddies goto school there. Would recommend parking in a lot though, even if it's a bit pricey. Parking on the street is a pain since there's certain streets that are resident only.

Thanks guys! One additional question: How full do those lots get in the morning? Is there a certain time I'd have to be there without ending up being SOL?

there's a lot literally across from the police station so it's pretty safe. it's also on the waterfront. it's located between sinatra dr. and hudson st. on 3rd st. actually mornings are good because most people take their cars to work, and also because of the holidays. have fun in hoboken and trust me hoboken has shit loads of e90 and 92s so dont worry.

Just make sure where ever you park doesn't require a parking permit.. Hoboken is notorious for towing peoples cars with the quickness, of course this is on the regular streets. Not sure about the lots.. Other then that it should be safe.

on River Street, there is a parking garage that is very cheap. I recommend parking there on the top, plus its about 2 blocks from the PATH.
