As mentioned above and this is the second time please give some valuable advice peeps whether i should A)make a claim against local council but pothole already repaired B) make a claim against BMW as theres known issues with this type of wheel or C)just pay all repair work costs me self >.< ? I'm sure there are guidelines about claiming against the council. Need photographic evidence of pothole, crack and width and height.

Check it though. BMW won't touch impact damage, they will measure it but it's likely to fall outside of the tolerance for impacts.

I heard that the council does not pay out if you are the first to report the pot hole.

Havent report it yet but pothole already fixed.....had a quote £50 for welding thats all required even then dont really like the idea of welding an alloy wheel.

Thanks Briers , yeah think i'll file a claim against council and see what happens nothing to lose.
But im really concerned about road conditions as the roads at where i am is really bad and i cant see why we(motorist)have to cough up repair costs due to lack of maintenance work thats been carried out.
