Currently im swapping out my trunk with a VRS CSL one and everything was going smoothly until i got up to rubber pressue sensitive trunk handle (not the keyhole). it doesnt seem like i can pry it out from the front and when i look in the back there is so little space to work with, Anyone know how to tackle this?! Thats probably the only thing i have left to deal with.

if its the same as on the 1-series. On one side(top most likely) there is a clip you just have to get a flat head and pry it out. It comes out really easy once you find where the little spring clip is.

I just pushed mine through from the outside. Used no tools.

I removed mine with my hand too. Don't be afraid. Push it in and pull it down.

Hey guys just reporting back, and you guys were correct,i had to push it in from the top in two areas, on both sides of the rubber handle and then it popped out (had to use some force though). Thanks for alls help.

is there a DIY or anything for installing the CSL trunk on your own? Im not finding one...

Find the DIY for installing blacklines to see how to remove the trunk lining. From there start disconnecting all the electrical pieces. Unbolt the trunk and its pretty well off. The only part that is remotely difficult is the key lock cylinder. There is a ratcheting piece in there that has a little plastic stopper keeping it from coming out. You have to push the stopper back and you can turn the ratcheting piece to get the cylinder out. Don't try to put a key in the plastic bolt there without moving that little ratchet stop, you can strip it. Just install all the pieces on the new trunk and bolt it back in adjusting the arms and latch so it closes and fits as good as possible.
