I know where that is. You could walk to Noodleworld from there. The BMW performance exhaust sounds great in videos online. I want to get one but I got laid off recently so now I have to wait until I start working again. Tisher BMW has it cheap. Do you go to New Century BMW for service?

How much did you get yours for? I just purchased the vehicle 4 weeks ago from Alexander Imports in Los Angeles. I have done what I can so far with out having my first car payment. I need to lay low for a month or two but I am really interested in the performance exhaust for my car. When you get it installed let me know. Thank again!

Awesome looking and sounding exhaust. I recently purchased an E90 325i and have done just about all of the internet search I can handle on exhaust systems for this car. This is my first BMW, I have always owned Nissans previously. I most likely will be ordering this exhaust in the next month or two. It seems to be the best buy. The other one I was looking into was through VividRacing...Meisterschaft SUS GT. It is about $100 cheaper than the BMW PE. Anyone have any experience with Meisterschaft?

congrats.

omg, there's a long story with eisenhaus Meisterschaft vs. eisenmann.
stems way back on e90post - here are two semi recent threads.
many people got burned on buying an exhaust that was posing as another.

don't confuse eisenhaus with Eisenmann.

Wow, looks like a bunch of people got screwed. I guess the BMW performance exhaust is still the best way to go. But all BS aside, is this "fake" exhaust still a decent sytem for the price? It seems like a lot more people are concerned with sound over performance? What exhaust for the E90 is putting out the most power to the wheels? Sound really does not matter much to me, I could live with a mildly obnoxious sound if I knew it was performaning better than a desired sounding exhaust.

When you install the new exhaust people say that you need to cut out the existing system. Where the cuts are it sounds like you clamp it together. Can you have a muffler shop just weld it up so you have no chance of exhaust leaks at that point?

Also anyone know what the standard fee is to install these?

I am looking into getting one in the next month or two after my credit card calms down :-)

Thanks in advance,

nah performance is bout the same for exhausts for our NA 330/325/328
what's going help with performance is a combo of upgrades.
piggyback or flash to ecu. bms / LET.
headers - supersprint
staightpipe
LSD
Cold Air intake.
even/maybe scoops.

just look at the price u pay for peformance upgrade listed
and make ur choice to what u wanna to do first.

for the eisenhaus Meisterschaft vs. eisenmann -
that's just a weird situation.
i went with bmw performance and called it a day.
at one point i wanted to get an arqray exhaust with Ti-tips.
i'm sure whatever choice u make, it'll be good.

yeh u can have it welded but why?
leaks? it's up to you - you can do anything with your exhaust.
the bmw performance clamp is pretty good - i was surprised.

cost varies - it's mentioned.
i say around 75-200 depends where u go.

Talk to Longtran. He can install it and he's a few cities over from you. I would recommend just cutting and using clamps. You never know about the cops around the SGV. You can swap your stock back on if you ever get a exhaust mod ticket. The cop in Burbank that gave me a ticket was a prick. The exhaust was not even loud. I had to gun it while making a left hand turn as the light was turning yellow.

Frankie,
Have you noticed any "leaks" with yours? I have been talking with Long and Andy about getting this exhaust.

The only reason mentioned leaks is if you need to cut a pipe and then clamp it together it just seems possible that it will eventually leak. If it leaks I would imagine possible performance loss. Just my opinion and I am not expert.

That definitely seems plausible. Since it's OEM, you don't have to worry about warranty...so, why not just completely weld it to be completely sure that there won't be any leaks?

no loss of power, no leaks.
here's the a pic from 1st page.

u see the 2 clamps - the 2 clamps is one piece actually.
no hole in between the clamps - it slides into the sections of the piping.
and u tighten the mother and it's tight!

this exhaust comes from bmw - if there was a leak u'll be covered under warranty.
If u were to weld it, would it void the warranty? - i don't know, maybe.
here's what i'm saying - why would bmw use a clamp if they did not feel
it was to par to a performance part that they sell? Would they not
stand behind their engineering and design? if it was faulty they would
cover it like the 335 fuel pump. But there has been no known issues
of leak'n... on this performance exhaust. (someone step forward if there is.)

Hey, who am I to stop anyone from doing what they want
to their exhaust. If you want to weld it - do it, i find it unnecessary IMHO.
i'm giving you my personal experince - do what you want to do.
Ultimately it's your bmw, it's your money, it's your choice and it's your preference.
i love living in a free country.
remember to post up your new mod -take pics.

Cni2i u figured out performance exhaust over Vanguard for your 335?
the exhaust mod is a fulfilling performance mod. You hear it everyday.
with the 335 you fell the gains. For 330/325/328 you hear the peformance.
"maybe a little feel in gains for NA's"

Hey Frankie,
Thanks for that great feedback on the PE/install. I am 100% OEM type of guy. I know I pay more for it....and maybe even get less for it at times, BUT, in the end, it's all about piece of mind and warranty. I love BMW engineering, so I don't like to mess with it. I loved the sound of the Vanguard exhaust. I watched the links that you sent , but in the end, it's OEM or stock for me.

BTW:LT is doing the install of my front OEM Mtech front bumper....hopefully by next weekend. I am so tempting to order this PE from LTBMW and have him install it at the same time.

FrankiE,

Thanks for your update. You mention that it is covered under warranty if their happened to be a leak. I would agree only if BMW installed it however if it was installed at some independant or in my garage and their was an issue I would assume they would try and say installation error and either not cover it or try and void that part of the vehicles warranty. This is my first BMW however this is how Toyota would do it.

I have 30 to 60 days to think on it before I get the PE installed.

Something else that people say and I am not sure why but they say the exhaust has a popping sound. I assume it is at idle. Is this sound irratating?

Thanks again!
