anyone able to track the turandot

Anyone with the various AIS and other accounts able to track the Turandot? I tried clicking on one or two links provided on the ship tracking thread, and did not have much luck.

According to the schedule it will reach the Panama Canal on the 23rd.

Lost it.

I had it on vesseltracker.com but I guess its now out of the area. I can't figure out any of the AIS sites so I may just track it on the W&W web site just to know when it finally ports in Oxnard. I don't really feel the need to see it travel over the water for weeks on end.

How can one determine the ship their car is on? I have a 335xi Coupe in Bremerhaven now awaiting a ship, and would appreciate it if someone could help me figure out when it will get on a ship, and if I can track that by VIN.

To rnickum:

My 335iCp ordered on 01/23/08 is also on Turandot.

It can be tracked here:

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...html?call=SGBA

To Jack Tors:

If your car is shipped by WWL, you will be able to find it here:
http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/cargoTrack.do

Choose "auto cargo" and enter your VIN.

I entered the website listed above, entered my VIN, and received the following message:"No tracking information is available for the Cargo ID you entered". I assume this means my car is not on this ship, correct? Is there another ship it could be on?

Thanks

That website not only for Turandot, but many other WWL's ships. Message means that your car is not on any of the WWL's ships. But probably it could be on other carier ship.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am struggling to figure out what the other ship options may be, and how I can detemine if my car is on any of them. I welcome any other suggestions to figure this out.

From here:
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828

"En Route
As soon as your status changes to “In Transit” on the 800 number, or to “En Route” on the OC, check the shipping company’s website (Schedules) to figure out what ship your car is on. Or just call your dealer; they know exactly what ship your car is on, and the estimated times of when it will arrive and leave the Prep Center. The dealer has a tool that tells you everything, so leverage this to get the name of your ship so you don’t have to guess.

For east coast deliveries, the shipping company’s website (Wallenius Wilhelmsen) is http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp. They update their schedule in real-time and changes the color of the ‘stops’ to Red after the ship arrives at different ports, signifying that the ship has docked. My ship took exactly 11 days to get from Bremerhaven to New York City. Sometimes, if your ship reports its status, you can track your ship while it makes its way across the pond. Go to http://www.sailwx.info/ and search by ship name. Keep in mind that my ship never showed up, so its really luck that you may see it.

For west coast deliveries, the shipping company's website (NYK Lines) is http://www2.nykline.com/home/index.html. You can also use http://www.dbh.de/index.php?id=151&L=0
to track the departure of your ship from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme. Apparently NYK Line doesn't make it easy to find your ship. After that, if you want to know when your ship is planning to dock in San Diego, San Diego Marine Information Systems will give you the arrival schedule for Port Hueneme (west coast delivery) at
http://www.sdmis.org/schedule/."

I am on West coast, but my carier is also Wallenius Wilhelmsen.

Here's a new web site that I found:

http://www.boydsteamship.com/daily_traffic_report.htm

The Turandot is scheduled to arrive at the PanCanal on Feb 23 and is scheduled to transit the canal the morning of the 25th. You can watch for her on the PanCanal web cameras:

According to the Boyd's web site, she's now coming into the canal region (Cristobal Anchorage) one day early. She had been showing to arrive on the 23rd on this list, but she has been moved to 22nd.

http://www.boydsteamship.com/daily_traffic_report.htm

She is scheduled to dock at the port of Manzanillo (next to Colon) just inside the entry bay to the Panama Canal. The schedule shows that she is to transit the 50 miles of the PanCanal beginning the 24th. She could possibly transit on the 23rd, so we will have to watch her. I have AIS radar and will keep an eye on her entry into the Panama anchorage and her transit. Here's the web site to watch her transit the PanCanal locks when she does begin her journey: http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html

Because these ships are so huge, and take up every inch of lock space, special PanCanal pilots guide her through the lock systems. They generally begin very early in the morning, although not always, and it takes most of the daylight hours to get through the 50 miles of the PanCanal. The first set of locks are the Gatun Locks, then she will pass under the Centennial Bridge, then through the Mira Flores locks, then out into the Pacific Ocean.

ALmost to the canal

I believe they will dock for 1 day to load/unload before going to transit. It should show up on AIS for the canal later tonight.

Turandot is in port at Manzanillo, which is on the Atlantic side of the PanCanal. The PanCanal schedule still shows her transiting on the 24th, but she may transit on the 23rd.
