Twin Turbo Lamborghini Gallardo vs Twin Turbo Z06

well long story short...the lamborghini was suppose to race a 9sec Rx7 but the Rx7 broke his tranny while cruising to the race....come to find out there was a nasty C5 Z06 in the pack that was following (twin turbo, built motor)(I don't know if it was a bigger motor or just a forged Ls6)....after a bit of taunting by the Z06 and no Rx7 the Lamborghini decides to give the Z06 a try

race is 70-190(the video is wrong)

Why do people do remote mount turbos?

Isnt it easier for the turbo to get damaged?

Terrible video quality, terrible music, but the cars are pretty cool

That looks fun as hell, just not on a public road full of other cars! WTF are those assholes thinking?

remote turbo mounts give cooler air, and it works really well with the vette because there isn't alot of engine compartment to work with.

Remote mounting seems to be a lot more hassle and points of failure. Have to run all the extra boost/oil lines not to mention the potential for a speed bump to tear off your turbos. I'd opt for an APS kit. http://www.airpowersystems.com/corvette/c5.htm

Nice setups on both cars.

Back in 2003, I had a 350Z and thought about APS' single turbocharger. Then I found out about the installed location and said no thanks. Sure, having a remote turbo lowers engine bay temperature, etc., but have you driven in Las Vegas (where I was stationed) with a turbocharger in your underchassis??? That's bad juju!
