Google Map not working?

Anyone else experience problems with senting google map to their BMW Assist?

Its been working great until I went to get my software updated...

Tried calling BMW Assist, and they reset my account/email address that is linked to the account..still doesn't work..

this was just about the only feature I use from the BMW Assist.

Wow there is a shocker.....have you tried Bing Maps?

the system can only hold 10 messages at a time, unless you save them etc.

mine has also stopped working.

i wonder if we can get a discount on the annual fee...?

i'm waiting until i can get to a dealer to hopefully have them diagnose the problem.

all other iDrive functions work perfectly.

oh... make sure you are using maps.google.com not maps.google.ca

I just used it last week and it worked just fine. I had a problem at first but that was due to using Google Maps Canada.

Hmm..good point..

I've been using google.ca for the maps....

I'll give google.com a try and see if that solves the mystery...

Also are you guys using all uppercase for the user account?

Stopped working for me as soon as I changed my email address. I called BMW Assist and advised me to go to Service Center.

However I have not tried the BMW Assist option on my car and have the agent send me the map to my IDrive.

the concierge isn't able to send maps to my car...

Called concierge and they are able to send maps to my vehicle. Only thing that doesnt work is google maps.

I remember reading a thread sometime ago that had a contact for someone in BMW Center who can fix this issue. I cant find that thread

Not sure if the same rep is still there, but I was able to resolve my issue when I called last year.

Spoke to Ben and he said something on their system is still not updating properly. For some reason on their end it still shows my old email address and with BMW Assist it shows the new one.

They still working on that glitch, apparently happens to everyone who changes their email address. Not sure why they cant change on their end.
