Mild clunk from front left, ideas?

Can hear it and feel it in the steering wheel. Only left side.

Car is a 2008 E90 sport w/ 30k miles. Nothign seems to be loose, I climbed under and checked every bolt I could reach including end links. Seems too early for bushings...any thoughts?

i checked the three strut bolts, tight as can be. Could a failing shock make noise like that? Compression and rebound seems fine and no leaking oil...

I think it may be bushings but no idea how to really check them, they "look" fine..

If there are no signs of oil leaking at bushings you are ok there.

Strut mounts are not strut bolts. There is a metal part on top of the strut, which has a rubber inside with a a bearing inside the rubber. And as far as I read yes, a failing shock can make some clunk.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it for now...

I assume that a failing mount requires an entire new shock( or is it a strut?)
