You're right! It is for the N55 aswell...

But it doesn't give me a good feeling...

I'm waiting for COBB...

Models with the N55 engine require the ECU to be sent to Epic.

theres no other option unfortunately, ECU's currently need to be bench flashed (with the exception of Dinan)

Bimmerworld uses these guys for their race cars I believe....and all of the big companies like Active and Turner are send out tunes also...If i had the money i would be willing to try it especially with the ability to select your tunes with the obd port!!

Yeah, i do understand that but would you send in your ECU per mail...?

It's just not an option i think for a LOT of us... So these guys develop a tune (don't know if they evt. buy the software) and afterwarts they relay on a kind of sale, nobody really wants to do...

Ive done it before (with my n54 ecu) but that was very easy to remove. The N55 ECU is more difficult to get to. Now with Cobb being out Id much rather prefer that method of flashing.

It actually isn't all that uncommon. I mean Active Autowerke asks the same thing if there are no flashing stations local to you

This is true until we can gain access to the ecu via the obd2 port, it will have to be removed and bench flashed.

We have also found out that Bmw has been making changes on the 2012 model n55's making us unable to gain access even bench flashing.

They have certainly stepped up their game. I bet there a number of counter-tuning measures implemented in the n55.

That is why I went the Dinan route. The N55 is way too tricky this time around.
