It's that time of year again and for some reason I can't find my old scraper. I used to have one of these bad boys

I just keep a 4" plastic disposable putty knife in the car, works well, almost free no big if you lose it or give it away.

Personally, nothing fancy. I just make sure it has a fine blade to prevent any scratches.

My theory is that scrapers scratch, when used to remove ice. If they don't, how does one explain that after getting a new windshield in the winter, it's scratched after the first coating of ice is removed with a scraper?

So, if you have to drive in the winter, it probably doesn't matter what scraper one uses. Just don't use a brush on the body of the vehicle....

None.

I just use the car's defrosters and then the wipers. For the back and sides I just use my gloves to slide the melted ice out. Same for the body. No need to use knives or brushes. That is just plain bad.

Watch the video, it works. You hit the ice to break it then shove it off. That's only useful after a few millimeters of ice have built up though.

I use the snow brum and the ice scraper with brass blade, they are both shown on the same Amazon page.
