'11 E90 335i Base stereo

Hello all, first post as you can see.....anyways i have the base stereo and im surprised they're even allowed to sell these vehicles with such a crappy system. I'm looking to upgrade my system but i don't want to cut any wires or interfere with the electronics in the car, any suggestions for a 1.5k budget?
