Interesting visit to the service department...
Bought my 2007 CPO 328i in late November. Took it in to the local BMW service for the first time today for them to check some minor annoyances (which were all normal, they said, but that's a story for another day).
No, what was odd is that they found a bent rim, a faulty window regulator, and a seat issue. All on a CPO vehicle I've owned barely over two months. Oh well. At least they found them and all are covered. Also, when I was complaining about the lag in the acceleration (one of those annoyances), the SA said it was the turbo, of which I reminded him I had a 328i. He seem surprised and reacted with a condescending "oh". Geez! Sorry I don't own a turbo. |

Condecending oh? I would have walked over tothe next CA. He knew you had a 328 and said it was the turbo?! Lol. If your experiencing lag in the AT, have you tried switching to DS mode?

After the dealer said I had a faulty window regulator (rear passenger), and "repaired" it, I tried it today. Depressed the button down...the window goes down, then goes back up. Hmmm. It then goes back down, and goes back up. Damn! It then does it again and again. I am frantically depressing and lifting the window button to stop it...oh.. I'm going down the interstate at 75 mph... buffeting like crazy.... the only way I get it to stop is wait til it's back up again, and depress the window disable button. Geez. Back to the dealer Monday.

Dealerships have no consequences when they do shoddy work. Imagine if at your job, you could bill a client for two or three jobs, or have to rework everything you did.

With in 500 miles of purchasing my Certified 530i with 18,000 miles, the microfilters service light is on. This is just after i paid them $32,000 for the car and they won't pay for the $100 filters..
The bottom line is.... All car dealers....I mean all ..... small or big.....brand name or independent.....Exotic or non exotic...... are " 3rd class fockers " |
