Would love to hear the impressions when you get them on. I will be ordering a set soon.

I had the car on highway the first time after getting M3 control arms. I get a vibration on the steering right at 85mph. Far as I know my wheels were balanced properly about 1000 miles ago when I get new tires. Only thing I can think of is the tie rods being worn out...

Get the HD Meyle tie-rods. Do you by chance have coilovers?

Coilovers are coming next. On Non-Sport suspension right now.

I have Michelin PSS on OEM staggered 18's and the front end feel so jittery around 85mph, and just.

depending on your rims, get 3MM spacers so you do not rub the strutt.

I don't think its from wheel rubbing the strut. These are OEM 162's on non-sport OEM suspension.

I really want to bet on tie rods, then on a poor wheel balancing job.

Did you torque the control arm bolts with the suspension elevated in the loaded position?

They make a 2MM but might as well go 3.

The M3 arms won't cause that. You WILL identify any other flaws, and have more road feel for sure. Others including me noticed that.

I would go and get the wheels balanced again, and ask to watch the guy when he does it and look at the tire spin... make sure it is perfectly balanced.

Get a 4 wheel alignment, get printouts before and after (you probably did this) - and get them to check all the arms. I had to replace my front toe arms because they seized and couldn't do the alignment.

My 2 cents.

I was considering the M3 arms for my stock 330i as I miss the turn in and feel I had with my FOCUS ST.

I do have 17 RFT though. Will the M3 arm kit be a pain in the A## with stock shocks and springs with RTF??

cheers

Turn in should be pretty sharp with RFT's; at least that's what I remember and missed when I switched to traditional tires. M3 arms work fine with oem springs and dampers but may be a bit hard with RFT's. I'd just replace the upper control arm (tension link) bushings or the whole link with Meyle HD if you're going to stick with RFT's; they're harder durometer rubber than oem but not as hard as M3 and will provide better steering and braking feel.

I would not want to combine M3 arms with 17" RFT. If you want to improve your steering feedback you need to consider wheels, tires and control arms together as a system. M3 arms are excellent if you use non-rft summer tires.

What are your wheel and tire specs, and brands?

I see. Good advice Smooth. It's is a holistic consideration and package.

I have 225/45 R17 Bridgestone potenzas RFT.

Planning on doing eibach pro-kit and decent shocks as well.

Then move to 18" non-rtf in 235/40/R18 in Michelin PS3.

That should fix the handling and turn in.

Alternatively:-

Just 18" wheels with non-rft and the M3 arms and maybe a larger rear sway bar....keep the stock height but beef up the feel and cut the roll.

cheers

I recently finished installing the items shown in my signature block. I started with a base suspension 335d. I am currently running 17" with Blizzak LM-25 RFT, although shortly I will be going to 18" Michelin PSS non-RFT. I can tell you the M3 control arms made a very big difference in the steering response. In my case, you better be sure you really want to turn before you turn the wheel, because with the M3 bits you are definitely immediately going to go where you point, and pronto. As a side note, and probably a combination of camber and the other bits, my steering effort is a little more at slower speeds with the new setup.

I would do everything you stated but do not need up the rear swaybar....especially without a LSD. Read my thread here:

Maybe someone can help me in this thread. I'm looking for solid information on what exactly I need to fit M3 oem shocks/springs into my 335i coupe. I'm getting a set for free tomorrow but they will only be available tomorrow and not in a couple of days after I wait 48hrs too post a Topic in here.

What is needed for fronts to fit and rears please!! I'd really appreaciate it people we're saying they don't fit at all some say they do and just the other day someone said they got m3 supsension to fit a 328 coupe bolt-in so I figure it can't be that hard to get them into a 335...

The rear M3 set up will not fit a standard E92 without installing the lower camber arm from an M3 (The M3 arm has different style mounts for the shock). You can buy the lower camber arm from a vendor like HP Autowerks, or Tischer. As far as I can remember, the front should install as is. Search this forum to be sure...
