I love my Remus Race, currently on stock DPs. Cold start has a grumble to it (some says its too loud) which last for about a minute then idles very quietly. I love the quad tips, the throatiness and deep tone of the exhaust.

Did the shop have to fabricate new midpipes?

The shop just had to modify the current mid pipe by making it fit around the transfer case. I believe they cut it and then extended it and made a new bend.

I would not recommend getting the M2 exhaust... Although it sounds decent there are a few problems with it. First and foremost it's raspy and with catless downpipes sounds pretty farty. Some may like that though so that's not really an issue. My main issue with it is it's made of very cheap and shitty metal. If you google some reviews on it people have said that in 2 weeks there rusted. I even read about one guy saying after being threw a winter with it, it had rusted so much that he had an exhaust leak... The last issue is the tips are huge and a little ricer STi ish... Again that's my opinion so not really too big of an issue.

Honestly for a coupe I think you might just be happy with downpipes. If not cut out the secondary cats and either put a pipe there or do resonators. One of my favorite exhaust setups i've heard is a coupe with catless downpipes and vibrant resonators replacing the secondary cats. here's a video of that:

well id rather be safe than sorry, i looked into the m2 a little more and you were right. i think vrsf catless downpipes would cost almost the same as the exhaust and maybe taking out the secondary cats. Thank you for the help!

No problem. I think the best "cheap" exhaust out right now is the VRSF exhaust. I plan to order it tomorrow and the only thing i'm worried about is it being too quiet... I love my current setup (catless downpipes and secondary cat deletes) but want a bit more volume. It's somewhere around $700 shipped and backed by a lifetime warranty along with 42 lb weight savings.

To each their own, but I am very happy with the m2 catback... Exceeds my expectations price considered! Only half the cost of vrsf and quality (welds/materials) and fitment was great...

Good luck!

Quick video of the m2 catback installed on my e92 last week...

I really hope it holds those expectations but I honestly think after going through a summer of rain or even worse a winter where we live you will be disappointed... There's countless thread on here where people have said theirs rusted in only 2 weeks and one guy's rusted so bad he had an exhaust leak. Also it's not half the price of the VRSF unless it's $340 new? I just paid for the VRSF two days ago and it was $680 shipped. The VRSF uses SS304 Stainless steel and has 42 lb weight savings... The nicest aspect of any VRSF products is the lifetime warranty that backs their quality. If anything ever goes wrong with the exhaust (rust, clamps breaking, etc) Tiago will replace it with no issues. I do hope none of the things mentioned in reviews happens to you and yours holds up though

Edit: In case some of you wanted to read where i'm getting my info I figured I should post some of the posts below

Thats very nice peter... The exhaust is 379.00 shipped NEW. Understand your concerns/points, but after all, to some it is just piping. Heard from several that is was almost identical to vanguard.

Now that being said, since there are not many sound clips out there, you could be right regarding how it sounds with catless dp's... I love the sound with stock dps and dont look to upgrade anytime soon as of yet. Hope your vrsf exceeds your expectations as the m2 did with me.

I didn't mention sound with downpipes in this post although i did in the one above. It does look very similar to vanguard except for the quality of the piping... That's where exhausts usually matter most to people since they don't want rust. As I said though I do hope it was just a bad batch or a rarity and doesn't happen to yours, it would suck to have an exhaust rust.

On another note, what brings you to the xi section?
