I think the Mini deals are a lot to do with the new model being released next year and the fact their market has dwindled due to economy and loss of novelty. Lots of buyers have done the mini thing and moved on.

We also just chopped in the wifes mini one (04 reg) for a brand new cooper. Only went in just to look - they offered us £1000 more than anywhere else on the px which covered the deposit (bizarrely we didn't even have the car with us but they honoured the deal), £1300 dealer and bmw contribution and then gave us £2000 cash back! Couldn't refuse so signed upthere and then.
Monthly payments only £175 Bloody lovely! |

Car ordered :
Mini Countryman 1.6 Cooper manual - light coffee - Chili pack - black roof and mirrors - black bonnet stripes - tlc - full Bluetooth - external chrome pack - 17" alloys Couldn't bring myself to get one with a Pepper pack, it lacks the decent kit like sports seats and half leather, sports steering wheel, bigger alloys... I know I said it doesn't matter but... It looks so much better with the Chili pack and better for resale. It's a chunky mini and has loads of space, no increase in insurance premium for my 20 year old daughter either. It's a factory order so should be delivered end of next month |

Update....
Still waiting for the new Countryman to be built/delivered. I rang BMW Park Lane yesterday and they said that the delivery date is now showing as mid January. I am now at the mercy of BMW/Mini finance as they may well end the cheap (3.9%) finance deals from 1 Jan 13, if they do I lose the cheap rate and the monthly cost goes up by at least £35. I can cancel it though, as I am covered by the Distance Selling Regs - not that I want to. I also changed the colour shortly after ordering the car to Blazing Red - new metallic paint colour for MY13 cars. |

Pete,
Do they not do the finance when you buy the car? When buying the x6 they did all the finance etc and gave me the monthly figures. I am not expecting these figures to change. I know the BMW contribution means I have to have it ordered by the 31st Dec and take delivery by 31st march. Surprised they can pull a deal when its been done. |

With BMW's new look web site. If you build your own car, you can look at three finance options and alter the period of the agreement.

I have noticed that, I spec'd my x6 on the new site and there is no contribution from BMW so I am wondering if they have pulled it..
Good site that now works on my iPad and surface |

Quite a few people on babybmw have ordered and aren't getting their cars until Feb or March and they are still being given the APR as it is now. When I ordered the dealer told me that if they got the paperwork signed before end of quarter I would be in that deal no matter when the car came. If i were you i'd try to speak to someone more senior. Saying you'll get charged whatever the lowest APR is on the day of delivery is total cock. How can anyone enter into a financial agreement under those circumstances?
Regarding the finance on the new BMW site. It's useful but it's a rough guide based on what BMW finance give the dealers. Individual dealers can give whatever discount or contribution they can afford or want to give. I think APR and minimum deposits are the only things set by BMW finance which is a separate company from BMW. Dealers cannot change the APR. I dare say I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs with this info. |

I can't see them pulling the low APR offer, it is helping to sell cars and with interest rates so low it really isn't costing them much to keep this running.

Scooba, agree Mini space is poor that's why we chose the Countryman, it's much bigger and even the boot space is vaguely useful !

And you can adjust the rear seat angle as well as moving it fore and aft to get a bit more room. Add the increased depth and it's surprising just how much stuff you can pack in.
