Thats exactly what I plan on doing, minus the whole having it stick out part. I want to fit a sub into that storage bin. Any idea how big it is in terms of square feet?

With it sticking out, I managed to get the subs requirements of 1.8 Cubic Feet.

If you opt for a smaller sub like a Type R 12" and then have the box sealed, you can easily just use the storage bin

Nice. Well done. But really not my kind of taste with all the flash looks and the loss of trunk usability

How did you hook is the amp hooked up?? Did you tap into the factory amp in the trunk?? Also, how do you control the volume/gain on the sub?? Did you wire a sub control to somewhere in the cabin??

Looks great, very clean install.. I like the Alpine X series subs, way better than the type R/S..

This install does look clean, but having the sub mounted flush in that extra compartment would make it look *sick*. Minus the flashy, shiny fiberglass and you could probably pass the sub install as a stock component.

Man, this sort of stuff reminds me of when I put in a 10" Kicker Bass Tube + Soundstream 4 Channel + Infinity speakers in my little 1982 Honda Accord, 5sp. I miss high school.

That looks so hot ,who cares about the trunk space as long as that sht pounds ,,i like it alot ..im thinking about getting the type X sub ..i had the type R ,sub which is no joke but i blow it already my amp is to powerful and had the gain 3/4 up..so i might have to get the type X.......
