Okay here is the weird part. It is not the iPhone 5 that is fast as I still have the 4gs phone which I updated the software to ios6. Now this phone is super duper fast also. So it's the software and not the phone!!! My 4gs is super sonic fast also now.

FWIW, I called them at 4PM and they said they had plenty of all the models left. I don't think the Apple Store employee would lie about something like that.

Apple employees are instructed to say they are in stock over the phone as part of their marketing strategy/policy to get you into the store. So yea they were probably most likely lying. lol.
However inventory isn't that low locally also.

I played with a new version while drunk in Vegas....loved it. Now I just have to go back sober and see if the thrill is the same
