Help me with this shifter!

So I took my 335is into the dealer this morning for a little service and they gave me a loaner. They put a new M-Performance shifter on it tho. I love it. Can I switch my DCT shifter in the 335is with that one? Honestly, it seems to work exactly like my DCT shifter. But the new m-performance shifter is carbon fiber with the M-Logo. Very cool. Any help would be appreciated!

You think?

This is a BMW courtesy car, so it's definitely not bootleg. It's online in BMW's M catalog. The carbon fiber is a flat black, no gloss.

I like flat black

I kind of like the look. It feels good and it sticks up a little higher than my DCT shifter.

Yes but

Do you guys think I could install it on my e92 335is, replacing my original DTC shifter? I freaking love the feel of this thing.

looks like the dry carbon leather trim for the e90's

Also I feel like I've seen a thread where someone did this retro fit.
Do a search, I'm sure it will come up

i love how everyone is dodging ops question hahahaa :]] but yah if its oem then its probably like carbon leather like the ones on m3 trims or actual carbon fiber weave minus the resin but either way as for ops question:

the retrofit should definitely b possible i think the hardest part is simply getting ur hands on that particular shifter

No they sell it

They sell this very shifter online on BMW's website under M-performance. I saw it. And the dealer said they can order it for me if I want it. I was just curious as to what everyone thought about fitting it to a 335is DCT shifter.

Did you happen to ask the Dealer if it would fit? The compatibility list should be on their parts computer...

If it is compatible, the switch should be very easy. I just installed a Bimmian F30-style shifter on my 2007 E90, and it took two minutes.

Wow it looks pretty sick. Although I would still prefer the glossy ones.
