Can you really live with the S5's 12 mpg in town? As this is an Audi figure you have to rekon on nearer 9 mpg. Nice car though - I looked at it in the summer before going for the 335d.

I know its been mentioned before, but is a used M3 not likely to be a seriously thrashed M3? Is this perhaps true for the 335i also... ? I think used M3 values have got a bit to fall yet.
When they drop the 3.0i twin turbo engine from the 335i in the next model Z4... that's where my money will go.

Gotta agree with squeeze here, depending on the size of your saucpan lids.

Thanks for the advice guys. Keep the ideas/thoughts coming!
So far I'm going to test drive the new M3, 335i manual, S5 and a Cayman S. I'm off to Dubai tomorrow so when I come back hopefully you've all decided on my next car! |

Can't agree that a good handling car necessitates a LSD....in reality its only going to help in longgggg drifts which lets be honest, should only be on the track....and I don't think we're looking for a track car, are we??? I mean if we are wtf is S5 doing here???!!!!
All imho of course!!

hmm well thats the opposite to what i thought when i tested it, i wasnt too keen on the interior on the audi, BMW sports seats are so much better in my opinion lots more lateral support, the dash looked a bit wierd , and there might as well of not been any rear seats when i put my seat to the driving possition rear foot space is appauling.
Exterior wise i quite liked it, very sporty executive looking, the 19" wheels were very hot, not too sure on the 'chav lights' though i think they would put me off a bit. get a another e92 variation ... amazing car

Thanks everyone. The most popular vote was the 335i which I agree is a good choice. If I can't get a good deal on a nearly new 335i I might just hang on for another 12 months and get an M3 instead. I know if I get an M3, I will keep it for at least 4-5 yrs so it will be worth waiting for

M3 any day of the week if you can afford it
I'd have one if I did'nt need to drive 100 miles a day you could wait for the new M3 semi auto box though, hopefully it'll push the price of the used manual ones down by 1-2k |

Am going to test drive an M3 over Easter if the stealer can get hold of one for me, if I like it, might wait one year and get one next year when prices are more reasonable
