VIDEO: 335i V1.47 hang with 997tt ..... kind of
Ok here is what happend:
First of all the camera car, which is a carrera S couldn't capture the video that well, but you will be able to see what happend. My car has PROcede V1.47 only , the 997tt was stock with auto trans in tiptronic mode. 1 passenger each. We started from 1st gear 20 mph up to 130 mph, my car had better response at that speed than the porsche, which kinda faced some lag. At 75 mph his front bumper was next to my window, he passed me at 90, by 130 mph he was only 2 to 2.5 car lengths ahead. We ran 5 times, same results each time, this video was the best we managed. Video: PREcede 335i V1.47 vs Porsche 997tt stock

Looks like fun, but next time get the camera in one of the cars actually racing. So much better that way. Really hard to tell when filmed from trailing cars.......that are way behind!

Thanx for the comments guys.
I drove that 997tt after we were done racing, I was shocked to notice the turbo lag it had at low rpms, it really is reduced but it isnt non-existent, my car had no lag compared to that turbo, but seconds later and you leave everything else behind. It was nice experiencing the drive in that car, you really do not feel the speed in that thing, I did 160 mph and it felt like doing 50 mph in my car lol. It's the same evo9 I was racing in my previous videos. I have procede since June 2007 and that road is some where near alain road.

not quite unfortunatley, walked u just raced one and it was overtaking him around 125mph, should be interesting to see a car with turbo back exhaust, a good intake, and the final v2.02 go up against a 997 tt though

I got V2 on order and I should receive my catback on Monday, next It's going to be DPs and FMIC. I will race him again after I get all my mods.
Dont forget that Shiv said these are the conservative maps for the V2, thus more power is on the way

you're expecting it to keep up or even pull ahead?....you really believe that that will make it close to a 120+ trap; not to mention a 124?

first off, on dragtimes.com only 1 stock 997 has hit/broken 120 trap, the majority are 117-118 and shiv's car just ran 117 without downpipes... so do your research before you roll your eyes
