Just installed JB3, Few Questions??

So, just installed JB3 2.0. I had JB+(@75%) before w/DCI. Can't really feel any difference, does this sound about right? maybe it just takes some time to adapt?

I should be on map 3 now. Nothing indicates which map I'm on so hard to tell. Should I notice a difference if I go to map 5 for example?

I noticed night and day difference between JB+ 75% w/DCI and JB3 2.0 map3 w/dropin. Are you using 93oct? I would say the difference is almost from stock to 75% JB+, again once I installed the JB3. That's what it felt like to me anyways...lol

The JB3 is also VERY smooth (almost like stock), so you don't get a lag and burst of hp like the JB+.

Try maps 5 and then go up to 7 if you have 93 octane. I ran map 7 for a year without supporting mods without a problem.

JB3 = smooth power
JB+ = on/off switch power

They are very different.

Give it some more time to adapt, if you have 93 octane try map 5.

I installed the JB3 2.0 on my '08 335xi about a month ago. I could tell an immediate difference even only on map 3. Last weekend I filled up with 93 octane and installed a DCI and then moved up to map 5. There is a difference between map 3 and map 5 but it is not as noticeable as the difference between stock and map 3. You should be noticing a fairly substantial difference between stock and map 3. Try resetting the map with the gas pedal selector maybe? Hope this helps.

Thanks for all replies. I'll try to compare maps 0-3-5 during the next few days. I'm using Shell V-Power(over 99 euro octane), it should be equal to about 94???. Maybe it's the smoothness thats fooling me... and not having the cable to tell which map I'm on.

By default the jb3 is set to map3. Just reset the pedal changing and redo the map. It's very simple IMO.

Start with map3 for a few days and then with your gas try map5. The difference over stock should be night and day

Glad you're happy with it. The JB+ is a great tune but the JB3 is at another level
