Potholes: Public enemy #1!

Check out the damage caused by a pothole to my friends e46 330xi. The dealer wanted something like $1400 for a new rim, tire and alignment. Ended up costing about ~$500 independently IIRC.

I'll verify next time I see him, but I know the road. He could not have been going over 80km/hr really.

do you have a pic of what the other side looks like. you should hold the city responsible for the wheel....

for the rim to have gotten that damage on a car, the car's suspension must have been affected.. is that the case here?

Wow that is horrid, often times your city will pay the bill if their potholes are the culprit. Its a little hard to prove, but it can be done, go to city hall and ask.

Also make sure to watch your tire pressures as well.
