Who here runs All Seasons?

Getting new wheels and am debating the purchase of AS's v. Summer tires. I run winters, but I like to put on late and remove early, and temps are often outside of the design parameters of Summer tires in spring and fall.

Can anyone share experiences/comparisons? Thanks.

I would say just run your summers until the first day its set to snow. Then take them off when you feel its not going to snow again, or the chances are pretty slim. I wouldn't want to be stuck running AS's all spring/summer/fall on my car.

That said, if you must get them, look at the Bridgestone AS960 tires. In my mind the best all season tires geared more towards summer then winter, which would be perfect for you.

if you have dedicated winters, I would run summers the rest of the year. I am running the General's which are all season and so far they are ok. I'll have to wait until the temps rise so I can really test them out on the backroads.

I'm running the General Exclaim UHPs which actually has a M+S rating. Running them all year long here in the Lehigh Valley. It is a summer tire with light M+S capability. I would have really liked to run a real all season tire, but the choices for a 19" A/S tire are limited. I believe that Toyo and Bridgestone have some but they are not cheap or have great tire wear. BTW, I have a 1 mile commute and also have a Mountaineer to use if the weather gets real bad. The Generals are a great street tire if you have no intention to track the car. BTW, if you are going to buy new wheels , I would suggest going with 19"ers. They do look better and the ride is not to harsh, IMHO

I run 19" Bridgestone Potenza AS's (they are M+S)
235 up front and 275 in the rear. While they are very quiet, the soft sidewalls (as most AS are) are not a lot of fun around turns. Some people can live with them, i know i would prolly live with them as well, but since i got some dough I will get dedicated summers-PS2

Not exactly a glowing review. I was going to get the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS in the exact same size (front: 235/35/19, rear: 275/30/19). Any other AS's that come in this size? Pirelli PZero Nero M+S does not, GY Eagle F1 AS does not, Michelin Pilot Sport AS do not. What other AS options are there in this size?

Im running Pirelli Nero all season. So far no problems with them. Im sure they arent sticking like they would in the summer but I like them all in all.

Is this on a 19" staggered setup? What sizes?

I run all seasons in the summer, and winters in the winter.

Weather is too unpredictable, and I don't want to put on snow tires every time I go camping in the mountains in September.

Thanks, guys. I was going w/18's; 19's just look too big to my middle-aged eyes. My only concern w/Summers is when temps are at freezing. Can Summers be "warmed up" by judicious use? I've been reluctant to drive my S2K in the cold because of its Summers.
