is it possible to swap my e90 steering wheel for a e87 steering wheel

hey guys might be a silly question but is it possible to fully replace my current e90 steering wheel with a e87 steering wheel?? they have exactly the same buttons on the wheel so i think it may be an easy switch! what do you guys think?

I think the 1 series and 3 series have the same part for the steering wheel.
So yes.

what year is your E90? As long as you have the round airbag you're good to go...
I take it the E87 has the msport wheel? And you're going to put your non Msport wheel in the E87 you have for sale with the Msport package...

If you have this wheel, I'm not 100% the sport wheel + sport airbag will be plug and play... I imagine at a minimum you would need the new wheel, airbag, trim and MF buttons. If the new wheel has paddles I imagine you would need to wire that up in addition.

I don't think 1series ever came with that flat wheel so you're doing a dodgy job by swapping if you do.

wow thats sounds like 2 much effort for just a different wheel and would make the 1 series look weird!! would i have this trouble if i got a 3series in with a sport wheel??
