Clay to the rescue!
People suck, not leaving notes when they do damage like this. I got lucky though, because there was no ding, just a scrape of paint transfer, so a DI Gentle/Fine claybar with a bunch of elbow grease took it out. Attachments show before/after.
(Edit: I'm parked over the line in the 'after' photo only because it's the end of a parking lane so I could be further from the car on the passenger side. I'm not one of those drivers who takes up two spots!)

I do this quite often. Even if there is some scratched paint, it's rather easy to remove those "racing donuts" and make a car at least presentable until such time a it can be painted. It's often a regular "service" when I do extended-family cars to remove transfer from bumbers, etc.

Thank you --Gig103
Thanks a Ton Gig103 I had a similar scratch because of some white car in my office parking lot(One would assume people working white collar jobs are decent) and i was really bummed about it..but last week end i used the clay bar after looking at your results and it took off all the white paint...was lot of work but was worth it...now only if i can remove another deep scratch using the same technique...:-)

Bash,
In true Ghandhi spirit, you should seek out the white car in the parking lot and fix their transfer as well, what with your new-found skill at clay work |

well i am not a big fan of Gandhi..more of a Revolutionary...so i guess i should get a stick or a brick and give the white car more than what they deserve...

Well, a brick is clay which has been fired... so there's a karmic flow to the matter. You clayed your car with success, and so you are merely giving theirs the same courtesy albeit with a slightly more processed block of clay...
