Cheers mega. Another day. Another few quid spent.......
Random pics from today, Fair plays to teddy at ssdd who has allowed me to return my orig cf spoiler and part ex on some new ones. These arrived today, Returned my original cf spoiler ( poor quality) (but including parking dents) and paid a few more quid for some perf style splitters but in 1:1 weave. Teddy could have quite easily said no returns due to the nature of the product, but he's looked after me. This for me is the reason to buy uk and not risk import CF. Couple of test pics. Just pushed on, but fitment looks sweet, hopefully get fitted up properly tomorrow. Think the cf balance out the look eace:

Nick, looking at this is seriously making me want an M. I even got a quote today and its only an extra £150 more on insurance than my 335D!!
Must be an absolute beast ! Looks so nice one of the best on the road mate, really sitting proud! How have you found it on fuel compared to the D? What's a full tank? I know I shouldn't get an M to worry about mpg/fuel but good to know from someone who has done it. May look to get one towards end of the year/next year... Would have more options and at cheaper prices |

Fuel is 25 mpg AT best.( think a full tank is £90). Just increase your fuel bill by a third. I only drive mine for pleasure so doesn't worry me. You'll miss the 335d torque but enjoy revving to 8.5k...

A third I'm at 18mpg its twice the 335d. I just can't drive it economically. Easily a tank of fuel a weekend about 75 quid for 55 litres v power. Have you had a play about with the mdm mode yet pal its quite fun.

Been fairly quiet for a while. Car not covered many miles if honest. Just gathered dust in garage!
Dusted it off today and had a good day out at dc13. Good to meet a few of the boys from e90 post. Hoping to get a good few pics but mates camera playing up! Car got a bit of attention, mainly people taking pics of the brake set up. And made me laugh,

I was thinking your thread has been fairly quiet lately, but good to see some new pics of the sweet ride. Looks great and would have loved to have seen this in person but couldn't attend.

Half thinking may just stick with company car hack for a year... And save up for an audi r8 ( wrapped, lowered, and fruity exhaust!) Hardly ever drive the m3! It's just turned 28k miles and think I covered 2k miles since I've owned it!

That would be a waste of all that time, effort and money.
It's one of the things about modifying cars. Sometimes you end up thinking if I hadn't spent so much on this car, I could have afforded something even more expensive. Will the M3 be stripped if you head down that route? |

If we do part company, I will split, seats, exhaust, brakes, wheels, and a few other bits but car will have the original 20s replaced so will more a less look the same. It's not about what I could have bought, as my purchases are all thought through and will be to a degree, cost neutral. Just thinking I could easily save 15k ( if not running the m and spending £££) in a year and fancy an r8, and hardly ever drive it anyway. Not made up my mind yet, just pondering the option.

Hi mate, Saw your car at the DC13 event today.
I have not been a big fan of wraps, but after seeing yours in fresh. I have changed my mind now about them, what colour wrap is it tho. Looks really nice. One of the best m3 out there. Really liked your one, the ESS supercharged e46 m3 bluish one and the silver hpf twin turbo e46 m3. |
