Pulling the trigger on an Exhaust, few questions

Hi Guys,
I'm finally gonna pull the trigger and purchase the Autobahn Exotics exhaust for my e92.. I'm having a really hard time trying to figure out if to go catless or add the HFCs. I will also purchase some catless DP's sometime down the road. I never had an aftermarket exhaust before, so I'm pretty much noob when it comes to this. My concern is the smell... I've never came across a catless modified car before, so I have no clue. From some searching, I've noticed some people saying it doesnt bother them, while others can't stand the smell. Can I get a few opinions on this? If its just a small minor smell, I would not mind it. If its very noticeable, I'd rather get the HFCs.. I usually ride with my family/friends alot. This is what I gathered..

Benefits of Catless:
1- Deeper tone to exhaust?
2- little more HP (barely)?

Cons of Catless:
1- Smell

Help me out guys, I wanna purchase this badboy and put it on the whip ASAP!
Thanks.

1. You're gonna love the AE exhaust! nice choice
2. the smell comes down to personal preference... coming from a completely catless WRX, my catless 335 smells like it is fully CATTED in comparison. To me it isn't bad at all.

the responses will be very opinionated, therefore what i would do is post in the local sections if anyone can meet up with you who has catless exhaust (preferably AE) and can take you for a spin. local bmw meets help.

But if you're concerned about the smell I would definitely try to get a local to take u for a spin.
