Thanks Josh! Your BBK would look amazing with any wheels, tbh! If finances were not an issue, I'd already have bought it from you... thanks for the offer Josh, much appreciated - honest answer is that unfortunately, I can't afford it

That's what I was hoping for Achu, something different but hopefully not too obvious! Thanks

Well I've managed to get myself a deal on four Pirellis. Chris recommended 235/35 for the front and 265/30 for the rear, and finding matching tyres in that size was more difficult that I thought... They will hopefully be fitted on Friday

If anyone has some good tips or products for taking care of the diamond turned face I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks for the advice buddy, I also checked out the MaxProtect stuff which Josh used but apparently that is designed for bare metal, which I do not think these wheels are. So I read a few reviews and went ahead with the C5, which if all goes well should arrive before I take it in to get the tyres fitted. Thanks!

Tyres going on on Friday if all goes well, I'm away at the weekend but will post a quick phone pic when once they're on

Long story short Sam, everywhere is closed by the time I've finished work
I'm finishing a bit early on Friday to get them fitted. Fingers crossed for no rain!

Thank you, so am I!

I just spent part of the evening carefully applying GTECHNIQ C5 to all four of them. Expensive stuff. First time I use it, so time will tell if it was £22 well spent. I used the entire 15ml on the four wheels, did the whole wheel (except for where the tyre goes), not just the face.

Dropping off the wheels at the tyre place after work tomorrow, and then going to get them fitted on Friday

Good work man remember you can't wash the wheels straight away as the c5 needs to cure. Leave a least 7 days before washing I know your wanna wash the tyre fitting gel but just hold fire

Thanks for the advice and recommending the product

He is updating the site, but supposedly the v2 range works well on laquered wheels and protects from brake dust as well. Such a shame as he would have done you a gd deal.

The stuff is truly awesome

NOW GET THOSE WHEELS FITTED
I hope so too Josh. I remembered you spoke very highly of the Max Protect product so I went back to your thread to find out what it was, and found the photo of the bottle of v3 on your wheel lip. I looked it up on their site and the page says the v3 is for bare metals. My wheels are laquered though, so I went for the Gtechniq as it was recommended and seems to have good reviews.

In other news, I dropped the wheels off at the fitting place today, and fingers crossed the tyres will be there on time and they'll be fitted tomorrow!

I wish I'd bought some wheel bolts as my existing ones are pretty nasty One more for the list!

I hope so! I read up before buying it, and the reviews on detailingworld seemed very positive.

Well I'll cut to the chase - everything fitted by Henry at Spa Tyres this afternoon and he is an absolute gentleman, strongly recommended

Alloys are 100% mark-free and he put the weights as far as possible behind the spokes so they are not too visible. Might have to get them painted silver though, as they still stand out.

I knew I'd never be sure about these until they were fitted, and I'm relieved to say that I'm delighted

All shots from my phone, apologies for quality, I intend to do some proper shots when I get some time.

Here's a before and after:

Henry explained that the suspension will take a few miles to settle as the car was on the ramp, so it should get a little lower.

I'm very happy with how well they show off my painted brakes:

Name: 1.JPG
Views: 721

But less happy about the bolts; don't know if they're just proper filthy but they look black! I'll need to get some nice silver ones - one more thing for the list

And that's me done for this year, perhaps with the exception of tints and my number plate if funds allow. The drop will be for early next year. Hope you like them

One last question - should I keep the OEMS centre caps, or replace them with some BMW ones?

Thanks Steve

To be honest, I wasn't completely sure until I saw them fitted either.

BMW centre caps was my original gut feel. Now I'm undecided. The usual Blue/White badge, or Black/White? Too many options!
